History of the Department

The department is committed to imparting high impact practices in the fields of data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, thereby preparing students to meet emerging technological and societal challenges with competence and innovation. Since its inception, the department has aimed to equip students with a strong foundation in computer science, combined with advanced competencies in data handling, machine learning, statistical modeling, natural language processing, and big data analytics. The curriculum has been meticulously designed to blend theoretical principles with practical exposure, enabling students to apply analytical and computational techniques to solve real-world problems.

• Started with 60 seats in 2020
• Intake increased to 180 in 2021
• Intake reduced to 60 in 2024
