Industry Supported Laboratories

Industry Supported Laboratories are specialized labs established in collaboration with leading industry partners to provide students with hands-on experience using industry-standard tools, technologies, and practices. These labs bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application, fostering innovation, technical competence, and job readiness among engineering students.

IARE stands out for its collaboration with leading global tech companies such as Intel, EPAM, Virtusa and Juniper Networks.

Virtusa Center of Excellence

In order to cope up with market demands and equip the students to become successful in the field of data Integration, institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad has partnered with Virtusa Corporation, a global provider of digital strategy, digital engineering, and IT outsourcing services and started its first Center of Excellence (CoE) to train the students on PL/SQL.

The collaboration outlines objective to upskill young students by familiarizing them with new-age technologies and prepare them with the knowledge of applying these technologies in everyday life.

Activities

Faculty will undergo intensive training on PL/SQL and get certified by Virtusa, inturn students who get placement offer by Virtusa will be trained by certified faculty on PL/SQL.

EPAM Center of Excellence

To meet the increase in demand for Quality IT Engineers every year and to bridge the gap between Industry and Academics and also to quickly bring the curriculum and students on par with the latest industrial standards, the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad has partnered with EPAM Systems India Private Limited, who specializes in service development, digital platform engineering, and digital product design to have Center of Excellence (CoE) to train the students on Java, Front end technologies and Automated testing using Java/ Selenium.

The collaboration outlines the objective of EPAM to hire trained students through an assessment, once reached that Industrial standard

Activities

Faculty will undergo intensive 3 months of training given by the EPAM team on nominated technologies and get certified by EPAM, in turn, students who get placement offers by EPAM will be trained by EPAM certified faculty on Java, Frontend, and Automated testing.

Intel® Unnati Center

The Intel® Unnati center at the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering is an advanced research and innovation center established in collaboration with Intel India. The lab aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by providing students with access to modern technologies and hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Edge Computing, and Data Analytics.

The Intel® Unnati center enables students and faculty to explore real-world engineering challenges using Intel’s hardware and software ecosystem. It promotes innovation, creativity, and research in emerging technologies while enhancing students’ technical and problem-solving abilities to meet the evolving demands of the technology sector.

The center serves as a platform for developing industry-ready professionals by integrating experiential learning with project-based training, empowering participants to design and implement intelligent solutions for both social and industrial applications.

Activities

  • Skill Development Programs: Training sessions on AI, ML, IoT, and Edge Computing using Intel® development tools and kits.
  • Innovation Projects: Student-driven projects focused on real-world applications such as smart cities, healthcare, and automation.
  • Workshops & Seminars: Regular workshops on Intel® technologies, open-source platforms, and data analytics tools.
  • Hackathons & Ideation Challenges: Events that encourage innovation and teamwork in solving practical problems using Intel® platforms.
  • Research & Publications: Faculty and students collaborate on research papers and case studies in advanced computing domains.
  • Industry Collaboration: Partnership initiatives with Intel and other organizations for mentorship, internships, and project support.
  • Certification Courses: Intel®-backed certification programs to enhance employability and technical expertise.
  • Community Engagement: Awareness programs and technical talks to promote AI literacy and digital innovation among students.

Center for Cloud Computing Development

The center provides students and researchers with a specialized environment to explore and implement cloud computing technologies using both the Aneka and Microsoft Azure platforms.

Aneka is a flexible and scalable cloud application platform that enables the development and deployment of distributed applications across private or public cloud infrastructures. It offers powerful APIs and tools to efficiently utilize a network of physical and virtual resources.

In parallel, Microsoft Azure Cloud provides a comprehensive suite of services including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), allowing users to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications at scale.

The center focuses on experiential learning and hands-on experimentation in both Aneka and Azure environments. It promotes research and collaboration in key areas such as cloud resource management, distributed computing, virtualization, and scalable application development. The primary objective is to prepare students with the skills and knowledge required to build, deploy, and optimize cloud-based solutions for industrial and research applications while contributing to innovative projects and high-quality publications.

Activities

Some of the core activities carried out in the lab include:

  • Hands-on Cloud Platform Training – Students work with the Aneka SDK and tools to develop and deploy applications using cloud resources (virtual machines, containers, desktop CPU cycles).
  • Project Work in Cloud Development – Undertaking projects that involve building distributed applications (e.g., using MapReduce, task-models, elastic scaling) via the Aneka framework.
  • Research & Publication Efforts – Faculty and students collaborate to conduct studies on cloud resource management, virtualization, distributed systems, and publish in reputed journals/conferences.
  • Industry-oriented Collaboration – Engaging with industry or external partners to apply cloud platforms for real-world use-cases, and to understand technology transfer, commercialization and practical deployment.
  • Seminars, Workshops & Skill Enhancement – Conducting sessions on cloud computing fundamentals, virtualization, resource provisioning, monitoring and management tools.
  • Capstone and Mini Projects – Final year and elective students use the lab for capstone work that may involve setting up private clouds, experimenting with resource scheduling, and exploring edge/cloud hybrids.
