Laboratories

The department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) has 12 fully Air-conditioned computer labs, latest Intel core i5 computers running Linux/Windows Operating System. The department is providing sufficient computing facility for the students offering excellent training in computer programming. All these computing resources are inter-connected with high speed intranet having 100/1000 Mbps Internet connectivity to the outside world. The lab is adequately supported by peripherals like DMP, Printers, Scanners and more.

    Data Mining and Warehousing Laboratory

    This laboratory is designed to provide hands-on experience in building data warehouses and applying data mining techniques. Students learn to preprocess data, perform OLAP operations, and implement algorithms for classification, clustering, and association rule mining. The lab helps students analyze large datasets, extract useful patterns, and make data-driven decisions, enabling them to handle real-world analytical challenges independently.

    Database Management System Laboratory

    The requirement of modern days is to have an automated system that manages, modifies and updates data accurately. This is achieved by a Database Management System (DBMS) in robust, correct and non-redundant way. Through DBMS laboratory, students will get knowledge about the database environment and a way to manage data. Students are made familiar with Oracle Software. Students will also be trained to do certifications in Oracle and advanced databases

    Big Data Management Laboratory

    The purpose of the laboratory is to provide the knowledge on working in virtual environment. Through this lab student will get the knowledge on creation and working in distribute environment (virtual) in VMWare and Hadoop. It includes the demonstrations on working with Hadoop distributed file system (HDFS), MapReduce programming, Pig Latin and Hive.

    Web System Engineering Laboratory

    The purpose of this laboratory is to develop and manage web-based systems using modern frameworks and technologies. The objective of the Web Systems Laboratory is to design, implement, and integrate client-server applications with database connectivity. Through this lab, students gain the ability to build, test, and deploy interactive and scalable web systems.

    The purpose of the Computer Networks Laboratory is to understand the concepts of data communication and networking through practical experiments. It focuses on implementing network protocols, configuration, and troubleshooting techniques.     The purpose of this lab is to get the knowledge about the client/server operating system through Linux Environment. Through this lab, students are made familiar with Open Source Technologies.     The main purpose is to study fundamental data structures, their design, implementation, efficiency and understand how the choice of data structures can lead to efficient implementations of algorithms in solving problems. Through this lab student will extend python programming skills in data structure implementations.

    This laboratory reinforces understanding of basic object oriented programming concepts (objects, classes and subclasses, methods) and their expression in Java. Students are able to analyze and design a computer program to solve real world problems based on object-oriented principles and able to write simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) interfaces for a computer program to interact with users, and to understand the event-based GUI handling principles.

    The purpose of the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory is to provide students with hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and testing intelligent systems. Through this lab, students will gain practical knowledge of AI techniques such as search algorithms, knowledge representation, reasoning, machine learning, and natural language processing. The lab enables students to develop intelligent applications using AI tools and frameworks, thereby enhancing their understanding of how AI can be applied to solve real-world problems in various domains.

    The main vision of this lab is to expertise students in the Machine Learning environment through practical experiments. It is well equipped with modern tools and technologies for developing intelligent models. The lab focuses on supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning techniques using Python and ML frameworks.

    Project & Research Laboratory

    This Laboratory has provided a platform for students and research associates to implement research based projects under the guidance of faculty members. The facility has been utilized by B.Tech and M.Tech students extensively for their project and research work. The outcome of the project has resulted in publications in various journals and conference proceedings (both at national and international level). The centre has provided a learning platform for both students and faculty.
