IARE is surrounded by both large manufacturing industries and arid villages with small farm agricultural holdings. The proposed IDEA lab at IARE shall focus on smart manufacturing and smart agriculture using the latest tools from IoT, ML, Cloud Computing, and the domains of manufacturing and precision agriculture. Industry and society will play a major role in the functioning of the IDEA lab. The IDEA lab shall promote real-life problem-solving abilities thereby enabling students to innovate and to become entrepreneurs.

Milling, lathing, and drilling operations on a single machine tool allows one machine to perform a greater variety of machining needs. The main purpose of the CNC machine center is to reduce production time and facilitate research in advanced mechanisms in the CNC technology.

CNC technology is widely used in the manufacturing industry. By applying CNC technology to the CNC lathe processing, the accuracy of parts can be effectively improved and the quality of parts processing can be ensured. The development of the mechanical manufacturing industry and the improvement of manufacturing capabilities create good conditions.

Presently, the CNC 5-axis machine issued for building the NACA Series Aerofoil models for aerodynamic testing. The machine is utilized for aluminum, teflon and wood materials.

The main advantages of 3D printing are realized in its Speed, Flexibility, and Cost benefits. For small production runs, prototyping, small business, and educational use, 3D printing is vastly superior to other industrial methods.

A 6 axis articulated robotic arm of industrial design, for training and research and is manufactured to industrial standards. The robot is capable of lifting up to 2.5kg of payload. The robot can be used with pneumatic / electrical grippers.

The NI ELVIS II prototyping board is an incredibly useful tool to test your circuits before you go through all the work of soldering. The board contains a breadboard and channels where you can use a multitude of tools on a computer to test your circuit.

The Solar PV Training and Research system is a mini-Solar PV plant prototype which enables students and faculty to understand in-depth concepts about stand-alone PV systems. The product also provides research orientation on several concepts such as MPPT, inverter control etc. The system consists of individual plug-in units each with components for different experimental arrangements. The conception of the system allows indoor and outdoor experiments. In addition to this, the shading and tilt angle effect can also be analyzed.
