FAQs on International Internship

1. How do I apply for Internship?

From the partner universities, you can peruse relevant intern projects offered by the professors in your area(s) of interest. Duly filled FSI form is to be submitted to Dean, International Affairs with a proposal or SOP (Statement of Purpose).

2. How much does the internship abroad cost?

It depends on the country and university one selects. The cost varies from ₹1.5 lakhs to 3 lakhs for a stay of full semester.

3. How much money should I carry in person?

It depends on the individual as well as the country. On an average, for a month it would cost from ₹ 20,000 to ₹50,000. You can use both credit cards and debit cards. At bare minimum, do carry ₹10,000 to be exchanged at airport.

4. Do I need to have a passport and visa?

Yes, you need to carry a valid passport and a student visa. Upon receiving your admission/acceptance letter, the visa should be processed which may take one or two months depending on the country.

5. Will the accommodation be provided?

The hostel facility is available within the campus on payment basis, but you will have to apply at least two months in advance.

6. Can I travel during the program / internship?

It depends on your research guide in the university. You can travel with his/her prior approval or on weekends.

7. Will I be given scholarships/financial aid from the university?

For internship, scholarships or financial aid is not provided at present.

8. Is there any stipend provided during Internship?

No.

9. What is the duration of Internship?

Students may apply for full semester internship.

10. Will we get internship or research opportunities in our interest areas?

Yes, you can choose the research guide in your selected University according to your areas of interest.
