VISION

To produce comprehensively trained, socially responsible, innovative electrical engineers and researchers of high quality who can contribute for the nation’s and global development.

The department's vision is pursued with regards to the Institute’s vision, holistic dimensions and their objectives via four value-creation chains:

- Technically proficient electrical engineers
Students are nurtured into well-rounded electrical engineers capable of designing, analysing, and implementing safe, reliable, and energy efficient electrical systems. They are equipped with advanced technologies and modern electrical infrastructure.

- Sustainable socio-economic advancement
The department instils in students a strong sense of ethics and accountability in engineering practice. Emphasis is placed on designing energy efficient electrical systems that are sustainable and responsive to societal needs. By upholding high professional standards and considering the long-term impacts of their decisions, students become responsible engineers capable of working across multicultural environment.

- Ethical and societal responsibility
The department instils a strong sense of ethical responsibility, professional conduct, and accountability in engineering practice. Students are encouraged to design energy efficient systems that are environmentally sustainable.

- Provide engineering solutions to global standards
Students are encouraged to explore and apply innovative electrical engineering solutions to real-world problems through design thinking, simulation-based learning. They critically evaluate complex scenarios and optimise electrical system designs to ensure safety, economy and high performance in line with international accepted engineering standards.

MISSION

To provide academic environment with a strong theoretical foundation, practical engineering skills and entrepreneurship to the students.

Responsibly approaching the Institute’s role in the society and the significance of the created added-value, and taking into consideration the needs of stakeholders, the following missions are stipulated:

M1: Strong theoretical foundation and practical engineering skills
The department aims to cultivate academic excellence among students through a well-structured curriculum. This promotes a deep understanding of core electrical systems behaviour, design philosophies, and modern engineering practices. The department strives to nurture confident and competent professionals who are equipped to address complex engineering challenges and deliver meaningful contributions to industry and society.

M2: Development of innovation and leadership
The department promotes leadership, teamwork and collaborative problem-solving through interdisciplinary projects, industrial exposure, and hands-on learning environments. Students are trained to innovate and lead the evolution of reliable, efficient, and sustainable electrical systems with contemporary challenges across various sectors.

M3: Critical thinking, research and ethical practice
The department prepares engineers to demonstrate ethical responsibility in design and professional practice. Students are trained to evaluate engineering decisions with critical thinking while engaging in innovative research that advances sustainable and resilient engineering solutions.

M4: Nurture entrepreneurial leadership in engineering practice
Students are set to become entrepreneurs with a focus on sustainable development, safety, affordability through community-driven solutions and scalable engineering designs by connecting theoretical advancements and practical implementations.
