Follow the Path to Success in CE
At IARE, students follow three key pathways to success: curriculum, career development, and skills and knowledge enhancement.
The B.Tech program in Civil Engineering features an updated curriculum that integrates core engineering skills with high-impact educational practices and project-based learning, offering minor programs in emerging technologies to provide students with a well-rounded academic foundation and practical experience for a versatile professional profile.
The Most Promising Minor Program tracks along with B.Tech Degree in CSE:
- A major is a primary focus of study, typically 160 credits.
- A minor is a secondary focus of study, typically 18 credits.
Specialize in one of the minor programs relevant for the future of engineering
- 1. Cyber Security
- 2. Data Science
- 3. Innovation and Entrepreneurship
1. Cyber Security
The minor in Cyber Security enables civil engineers to safeguard smart infrastructure systems such as SCADA, IoT-enabled construction monitoring, and BIM-based project data management. The curriculum includes system and network security, secure IoT applications, cryptography, and ethical hacking - all critical for protecting infrastructure in the digital age.
2. Data Science
This track empowers students to analyze and interpret civil engineering data—whether for structural health monitoring, traffic management, or environmental modeling. Students gain experience in Python, R, visualization tools, and statistical modeling, grounding them in real-world civil analytics and AI applications in urban development.
3. Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship minor fosters entrepreneurial thinking and innovation in the civil domain. Students will learn to build ventures that solve real-world challenges in housing, transport, water, and waste management. The program includes cross-cultural leadership, startup planning, finance, and global challenge response, preparing students for startup ecosystems and intrapreneurship roles.
