Competency Building and Consultancy (CBC) Centre is implementing a road map for Technology Development Programs and Competency Building programs emphasizing skill development, reskilling, upskilling, and enhancing student engagement in career planning, skill development framework and job success. This plan highlights our commitment to promoting students' professional development through assessment of learning and engagement through following:
Competency Building Programs (CBP)
Emphasizes the use of established engineering professional skills and mastery of existing engineering tools that enhances student employability and career success.
Technology Development Programs (TDP)
Cultivate technological excellence and innovation by integrating evolving technologies, enhancing employability through practical, hands-on, and future-ready technical expertise.

CBC Sucesses
The CBP / TDP are structured at enhancing students’ technical proficiency and industry readiness through specialised training and hands on learning experiences across the various domains.
Strategic Priorities
STRATEGIC GOAL 1: (Skill Development)
Build and enhance specific skills that are crucial for job performance. This could include technical skills communication skills, problem-solving skills and more.
STRATEGIC GOAL 2: (Performance Improvement)
Address skill gaps to improve overall performance. Students who understand the required skills are more likely to excel in their roles and positively contribute to the institute goals.
STRATEGIC GOAL 3: (Adaptation)
Develop adaptation by building a wide variety of skill sets that allow individuals to navigate and excel in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
STRATEGIC GOAL 4: (Succession Planning)
Identify and nurture students with the skills required for future job roles. Succession planning guarantees that a pool of appropriate individuals will exist to fill important jobs as needed.
Process
Competency = Knowledge + Skills + Dispositions
Skill Gaps
Conducting a skill gap analysis is instrumental in pinpointing the specific abilities necessary to meet academic goals, providing guidance for faculty and student development activities and hiring practices.
