The B.Tech program in Electronics and Communication Engineering features an updated curriculum that integrates core engineering skills with high-impact educational practices and project-based learning, offering minor programs in emerging technologies to provide students with a well-rounded academic foundation and practical experience for a versatile professional profile.

The Career and Development center (CDC) plays a pivotal role in shaping the careers of aspiring engineers by equipping them with the skills and guidance needed to achieve their professional goals.

The Balanced Scorecard initiative by Division of Competency Building and Consultancy offers a structured, multi-semester roadmap integrating industry-aligned certifications, and projects to comprehensive development of students technical and professional competencies for high-impact careers.

The Most Promising Minor Program tracks along with B.Tech Degree in ECE:

  • A major is a primary focus of study, typically 160 credits.
  • A minor is a secondary focus of study, typically 18 credits.

1. AI & Machine Learning

Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning focus on developing systems that can learn from data, identify patterns, and make decisions with minimal human intervention. These technologies are widely used in image and speech recognition, predictive analytics, autonomous systems, healthcare diagnostics, and smart automation. ML algorithms such as supervised, unsupervised, and deep learning form the backbone of modern AI applications.

2. Embedded Systems & IoT

Embedded Systems are dedicated computing systems designed to perform specific tasks within larger systems, often under real-time constraints. When integrated with the Internet of Things, these systems enable interconnected devices to sense, collect, and exchange data over networks. Applications include smart homes, industrial automation, wearable devices, healthcare monitoring, and smart cities.

3. Space Technology

Space technology deals with the design and use of spacecraft, satellites, and launch systems to explore space and provide services like communication, navigation, Earth observation, and scientific research. It combines electronics, communication systems, propulsion, control, and computing to support space missions and space-based applications on Earth.

4. VLSI Design and Technology

Very Large-Scale Integration and Semiconductor Technologies involve the design, fabrication, and testing of integrated circuits with millions to billions of transistors on a single chip. This area includes digital and analog IC design, low-power circuits, system-on-chip design, and advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes. It is critical for developing high-performance processors, memory devices, and AI hardware accelerators.

5. Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Innovation and Entrepreneurship refer to the process of creating new ideas, products, or technologies (innovation) and converting them into viable business ventures (entrepreneurship). Innovation focuses on problem-solving and value creation, while entrepreneurship involves risk-taking, resource management, and market execution to transform innovative ideas into sustainable economic and social impact.
